Chapter 1 · Why Reviews Matter

A Google review is your business’s invisible currency.

It’s not just a handful of stars. It’s ranking weight on Google Maps, the first-glance credibility in a search result, the deciding factor in whose door a customer walks through — one review affects far more than a single visit.

87%
of US local consumers check Google reviews before visiting a business they haven’t tried. Below 4.0 stars, half won’t even open your page.
BrightLocal · 2024 Local Consumer Review Survey
16–20%
of Google’s Local Pack ranking weight comes from review signals — and the share rises every year. More, newer, better reviews rank higher.

When a customer opens their phone, who shows up first?

When someone searches “dentist near me” or “dentist in Park Slope,” the top three results Google shows are the practices with the strongest review signals. A 0.2-star edge, or five more recent reviews, can lift a practice two positions — and that is a 30% gap in who gets seen.

Chapter 3 · Review Velocity

A review isn’t a trophy you win once. It’s a rhythm you keep.

We’ve shown what one review is worth. But ranking isn’t decided by how many you have — it’s decided by how often a new one arrives. Since 2025, Google weighs review freshness almost as heavily as review count. Fewer than one business in ten keeps that pace.

9%
Only about 9% of businesses sustain the review pace Google actually rewards.
The other nine in ten are either nearly silent or dangerously inconsistent — and ranking only rewards the steady kind.

How to read this. The Optimal and Aggressive bands are the range Google’s local ranking actually rewards — steady, sustained, naturally growing. Most businesses sit in Silent or Minimum, not because customers are unhappy, but because no system is running the asks. Percentages are estimates synthesized from 2025–2026 research (BrightLocal, Sterling Sky).

High-traffic industries (restaurants, hotels) need a faster pace to stay competitive; low-frequency, high-ticket industries (lawyers, real estate) shouldn’t chase volume. What matters, always, is steady — not a sprint.

Stop for three weeks, and rankings can fall off a cliff.

Sterling Sky found that when a business stops collecting reviews, local rankings visibly slide — and after roughly three weeks of silence, they can drop sharply. Rankings recover only once fresh reviews resume. The total you banked in the past won’t protect you.

Sterling Sky · Local SEO Case Study

73% of customers only trust reviews from the last 30 days.

Google treats review freshness like a heartbeat monitor. Reviews from the past 7 days carry about 40% more ranking weight than reviews older than 30 days. Those five-star reviews from two years ago? Today, they’re mostly wallpaper.

Moz · BrightLocal · 2025

Try to “catch up” with a burst, and you’ll be flagged as fake.

A business that normally gets one or two reviews a month, suddenly posting fifty in a week — Google’s spam filters read that as review fraud, and may hide reviews or penalize the profile. You can’t sprint to catch up. You can only rebuild, steadily.

Google · Review Content Policy
What this means for you. Review marketing isn’t a one-time project — it’s a system that has to be maintained. That’s exactly why BAAM Review runs every month: we don’t run a one-off “review campaign,” we keep the rhythm that can’t stop — steady, natural, sustainable. Keep the rhythm and the ranking holds; break it, and the ranking breaks with it.
Chapter 4 · The Silence Problem

Your happiest customers say nothing.
Not because they're unhappy — because reviewing is hard.

We've tracked clinics and shops across the NY metro — even when satisfaction averages 4.8 stars and customers thank you at the counter, only 1–10% leave a Google review. The other 90% of goodwill never compounds into trust, ranking, or revenue.

10% LEAVE A REVIEW silent customers
90%
stay silent
despite being happy
01

They don't know where to leave it.

Most customers don't have Google Maps top of mind. Even when they intend to review, finding the right form on mobile takes more taps than they'll make. About 30% give up before they start.

02

They don't know what to write.

A blank text box freezes people. "It was good" — but how do they phrase that without sounding flat? The blank-box freeze kills more reviews than any other friction in the funnel.

03

They forget — goodwill evaporates.

A customer's intent to review drops about 70% three days after the visit. After a week, it's nearly zero. Without timely, well-timed prompting, the moment passes.

04

It feels like a chore.

Even a one-minute task gets filed mentally under "I'll do that later" — and "later" never comes. The mental cost of starting is the real obstacle, not the actual minute it would take.

Chapter 5 · The Solution

One solution — easy for your customer, for you, and for us.

BAAM Review breaks review marketing into three simple jobs: your customer reviews in under 60 seconds; you send one list a week; the collecting, replying, and running — all of it — is handled by us.

1 The customer’s side

From four barriers to three taps — under 60 seconds.

BAAM dismantles those four barriers, one at a time. Your customer opens an email, picks three tags, lets AI draft a review — then taps once to send it to Google. No blank box, no friction, nothing to figure out.

The 30-second version
i

Send the request

Email or SMS, one customer or a list, in their language. We pick the right time.

ii

Open in one tap

Customer lands on a 60-second form. Pick service, pick stars, pick a word. No blank box.

iii

AI drafts the review

Three voice options — warm, specific, brief. Customer picks one and edits if they want.

iv

Posts to Google

One tap. Lives on your real Google Business Profile. Plus a share-with-friend card.

What your customer sees is a page too simple to refuse.

No blank text box, no long instructions, no English barrier. It doesn't feel like being asked for a favor — it feels like being cared for, one more time. Three taps, and not a single sentence to write.

  • English / 中文 / Español — auto-matched to the customer's phone language
  • AI offers three draft voices: warm, specific, or brief
  • The customer edits freely — they stay the author, fully Google-compliant
  • Posts straight to your real Google Business Profile — never a third-party page
  • After posting, a one-tap share-with-a-friend link with a trackable $20 referral code

3

Then hand it to us

Our 5× Return Standard

If we run it for you, the Total Review Value we generate may reach around what you pay us within a year.

Measured against the median per-review value for your industry — not the high end, not the low end. The only precondition: you keep sending us real customer lists each month.

We don't conjure customers from thin air — we translate the goodwill you've already earned into reviews Google can see.

Self-serve customers get the same platform, but because the work is on your side, the 5× outcome depends on your own execution. Switch to Full Service anytime to activate the 5× return.

Chapter 8 · Questions

The things everyone asks us.

What if I don't get any reviews during my free trial? +
Then BAAM Review didn't earn its keep. You're never charged during the 30-day trial — we collect a card upfront for a smooth transition into month 2, but you can cancel anytime in your dashboard before day 30 and we charge $0. If you haven't seen reviews by day 30, either we need to fix something or you should leave. Most clinics see their first new review within 7 days of sending their first request batch.
Do you spam my customers? +
No. You upload a list of customers you've actually served, we send one email or SMS per customer with a 60-second review form. Every message is TCPA-compliant with one-click unsubscribe. We never email anyone twice within 60 days (deduplication is built-in). Most clinics send 20-50 review requests per week — far below any threshold that would feel like spam to your customers.
Is this compliant with Google's review policies? +
Yes. We never gate reviews (you can't filter out low-star reviews before they hit Google), we never write reviews on behalf of customers (the AI drafts a starting point, but the customer is always the author and editor of record), and we never offer financial incentives in exchange for positive reviews. The platform is built explicitly around Google's contribution policies. We sweat the rules so your profile doesn't get suspended.
What if I want to cancel? +
Cancel anytime, no questions asked. Month-to-month billing means you can leave at the end of any billing cycle with zero cancellation fee. Full Service requires 30 days notice (so we can do clean handover), but no minimum commitment. We don't believe in trapping customers — if BAAM Review isn't generating revenue for you, leaving is the right call.
What makes BAAM different from Birdeye or Podium? +
Three things. Price: we're roughly 67–82% cheaper than Birdeye/Podium, with no setup fee. Multilingual: we're the only major US platform with first-class support for English, Mandarin, and Spanish — built in from day one, not a translated UI bolt-on. Revenue attribution: we put a dollar number on every review (modeled but defensible). Birdeye and Podium tell you how many reviews you got. We tell you what they were worth. See the full comparison table below.
What does the $1,728 per review actually mean? +
It's the modeled value of one new 5-star Google review for a clinic like Dr. Huang's, over 24 months, across three measurable channels: Google search ranking (+$580), on-site widget trust (+$720), and friend-to-friend referrals (+$428). The underlying conversion rates come from industry research (Harvard Business School, BrightLocal, Whitespark), and the ticket/LTV values come from Dr. Huang's actual books. It's a model, not a measurement — but it's defensible math, not magic. See the full breakdown below →
Do I need a Google Business Profile already? +
Yes. Google Business Profile is free to create and required for any business that wants to show up in local Google searches. If you don't have one yet, we'll walk you through creating one as part of your first setup call — usually takes 15-20 minutes including Google's verification step. After that, BAAM Review connects via OAuth in about 30 seconds.
Can I use this for multiple locations? +
Yes. Self-serve: every location is a flat $99/mo — no first-location markup, no per-location surcharge. So 5 locations = 5 × $99 = $495/mo; 10 locations = 10 × $99 = $990/mo. Each location is its own subscription with its own card, dashboard, brand settings, and review attribution — cancel one without touching the others. Full Service: every location is a flat $399/mo, card or pay-by-check. Every location includes a 30-day free trial. Birdeye and Podium charge $200–400 per location at this volume.
